A Little Something to Cheer You Up

Cheer me up I couldn't even read the whole thing. This guy is one of the reasons I am having to fight to get my CCW unrestricted.

Unlike most gun control advocates I’ll spell out my position clearly; I want to see a national grace period of 2-3 years for buy backs, at reasonable value, of all firearms belonging to any citizen who is not directly involved in law enforcement or enrolled in the armed forces. After that grace period I want to see a heavy fine, of at least $10,000 penalized on anyone who is caught violating these new prerequisites for gun ownership. I want to see that the only manufacturing of firearms is done under strict government control, in one guarded location, for sale only to one government agency, which distributes these firearms, in a highly controlled manner to law enforcement and military agencies. I want a federal law, which criminalizes the exportation of firearms to any other nation, either by congress, the pentagon, or covert intelligence agencies.

It was eighteen years ago I was in high school myself. I was known to be violent -- some had called me "evil." A mean spirited and aggressive teenager who carried a bowie knife strapped on his leg, and engaged in fights on an almost weekly basis. Ok, so we have a violent, aggressive guy who loves to hurt people, a true antisocial person.

Then, to my shocking discovery on December 22nd of 1992, my sister's 19 year old distraught ex- boyfriend, took his father's .38 caliber handgun, drove to my sister's home, went inside and shot her dead - killing her instantly and making a horrific mess of blood and brain tissue in her bedroom.

Then violence slaps him in the face.

When I think of this boy I think of the meaning of COWARDICE, and the ease of availability of firearms in houses and at sporting goods stores and gun shows throughout Ohio and the rest of our country. ..Something obviously has to be done -- real answers are needed for immediate effect.

So he takes it out on the rest of the world.

So many questions. The first is: Does he belong in jail or a mental hospital? The second is: Will we still get our tax break when the US pays out a hundred billion bucks buying back all the guns?
 
I find this guy very sad....
I can understand why the warning is on the site.. I could feel my blood pressure going up before I had finished the first paragraph....
But I just have two questions for this pathetic excuse for a human.... that the only aparent reason that he's still alive, is because it's against the law to kill him........
You'd think that he'd have realized that it's because we are LAW ABIDEING firearms owners.

My question is this...... Instead of trying to TAKE away our weapons and make us ALL defenseless against people like he himself said that he use to be... why don't we make sure that people like his sister are armed and know how to defend themselves?

How would his life be had she had a gun of her own??

If those who would protect us demand a head-check every time someone purchases a gun, then I demand we restrict access to electronic and print media by writers who have not undergone a head-check also.

There are some really dangerous people out there writing without responsible adult supervision. Who is to protect me from these people, particularly when the get elected to government?

An idiot with access to a pen is far more dangerous to my life, liberty and property than an idiot with a gun.

How are we to control them?
 
Antis like this could be trying to get us all to die from strokes, ulcers, or simply high blood pressure. My post-DST resolution is to stop getting so upset by these idiots. Unfortunately, that means I'll probably mock them unproductively in emails, but at least I won't be shortening my lifespan.

Actually I've just added it to my list of web sites to visit that I give to my firearms students.

After I've had them for 10 hours giving them facts and statistics backed by hard data and footnotes this site will allow them to better see the difference between logic oriented gunners and emotion oriented ant-gunners.

If they don't get that message after viewing the site then I have not done a proper job of teaching.
