A little something

For those who have not figured it out yet that is a minature toy/model version of the Colt Paterson revolver of 1836. That cap tin is smaller than a dime I believe.

I took the picture through the glass top display case.

I had stopped at the store because they occasionally have used BP revolvers there and few other places in the area take them even on consignment. Also was on the never ending search for 20 gauge buckshot. This whole Covid/revolution thing has sure sucked up the 20 gauge Buck!

Many yrs ago, My family took a vacation to Mexico city, there was a shop that sold such miniatures, that actually fired, they were fantastic guns, they even had muskets, around 22 cal that were also sold as sets, the caps were special order from them and they were complete to actual specs of real antiques, as they had some of those too, the owner was happy to show us all around and even fire a few at his range in the back of the store. I was only 13 but remember most of the details like it was yesterday.
