A Max vs. SST Can someone explain the difference?

I have a box of AMAX laying around and was thinking of developing a hunting load with these for my 308. they are 165 gr. Anyone have any luck with it and can you explain the difference in the SST and the AMAx?

The A-Max Match bullet is not designed or intended for hunting.

The jacket is thicker and there is no InterLock ring inside to keep the jacket & core from seperating.

It may or may not expand on game like the SST, and may not stay together if it does expand.

I would use them for pre-season practice and get some SST hunting bullets for hunting.
