From my local paper...

Police: Man accidentally shot by friend
DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Clearfield County -- A 34-year-old man from Osceola Mills was apparently shot accidentally by a friend when the two were handling a loaded .9 mm automatic revolver Monday on Sarah Street, according to state police at Clearfield.

I guess I'll have to add one of those to my wish list. A .9 mm automatic revolver. Gives new meaninig to the term mouse gun. :D

Actually.. unless I'm mistaken(which I very well might be) .. isn't there a unique and highly valuable Mateba Autorevolver prototype chambered for 9x21mm IMI somewhere ? Even if there is.. I think we can say with a fair amount of certainty that this man didn't have it.. hehe

Quick now everyone, go out and buy .9mm auto revolvers before they are banned. OH NO my friendly neighborhood gun shop is out of ammo, and even laughed at me when I asked for it, gotta stockpile a few thousand rounds.

well at least it isn't another 22MM incident, or a OO shotgun

I'd like to see the reloading data and dies for that round. When the manual says the maximum load is 3 grains of Bullseye, they literally mean 3 'grains' of Bullseye.

What is curious to me is that they were both handling the gun at the same time... "Let go of my .9mm automatic revolver!" "No, you let go!"

Police... "Uh, dispatch, we have a ND of a .9mm automatic revolver. Apparently, the vic thought it was just a plain 9mm auto."

.9mm is still better than a .45mm

All miniaturized automatic revolver rounds suck. I prefer the .556x.45 mm in my automatic revolver assault rifle (ARAR-15).

HA!, its not an "automatic revolver", its only DA, damn news people have to get their facts straight

These measurements by the same people who think guns are as dangerous as the Ring of Sauron? What velocity do they think it's going at? 5,000,000 f/s?

Leave it to Nolo to start bringing up Ring of Sauron caliber debates. For the last time, the Ring of Sauron was a much better elf stopper when it was bored out to fit a .45 caliber finger. Once Sauron sized it to fit his pinky finger ala Charlton Heston in Ben-Hur, he lost a lot of power IMHO. Sure, it added to his finger velocity when striking dwarves down with his mace, but the dwarves just kept on coming. What would you rather have, high cap ring fingers or one finger, one time?

As I've stated before, reporter who otherwise have a certain regard for facts tend to regard ignorance about firearms with a sense of smug moral superiority.

Ignorance and a smug moral superiority can often be found skipping along hand in hand, especially amongst members of our print media. Which might explain the plummeting sales figures for newspapers nationwide.
