Hiya Guy's :) ...

About 2 weeks ago a friend talked me into trading a Yugo SKS for this Sig P250c carry model 9mm.

Now I like Sig as much as most everyone else but I'm not really a fan of a double action only trigger and I would have preferred an SP2022 in .40 S&W over a 250 but that's okay. I wasn't planning on keeping it anyway and already had a possible trade deal in the works that we just closed escrow on for this really nice 1975 Winchester model 94 Ranger in 30-30 :) ...

Overall it's in Nice condition and has been well taken care of. The Walnut furniture has a few wear marks on it from obvious use but the finish on it still has a nice shine. The bluing is probably about 80% and still looks good but it could probably be touched up with a little Emery cloth but it's not a big deal.

The only safety on this model is the one under the lever and the receiver already has an optics rail base on it. There is a half cock and the trigger is a little light, probably about 2.5-3 lbs and when caught there is no slack or take up in the trigger whatsoever. There is also a hooded front sight on this model that makes the sight picture a little nicer but I'll probably touch up both sites anyway to make them a little more user-friendly.

Overall I think I done well even though it was hard to let go of one of my sks's but the 30-30 is a little better cartridge than the x39 and I've already started reloading for it :) ...

that side mount tho:cuss:. i would have stayed wit the sig.

Well, I didn't know it had a base on it until he stopped by my place earlier. However the base is stainless and so are the screws so it matches the receiver so it wasn't really a deal breaker since I can put a scope on it if I want to.

Because your Model 94 is a "Ranger" variant, I suspect that the stock is made from birch and is "walnut-finished". Like troy fairweather and especially because I much prefer receiver (peep) sights to scopes on short, handy lever-action carbines, the added side mount is not something I'd be happy with. However, I'm of the opinion that every serious rifleman should have at least one Winchester Model 94 in their collection and your Ranger certainly qualifies. Congratulations on your trade for sure!

Oops, my bad, sorry guys. I got my wires crossed on this one. My late model 94 30-30 is a ranger variant but this 1975 is a model 94 in 30-30, not a ranger variant :) ..
