In Utah, it's a CFP. I wish they would change the name because so many of the LEOs here think that because it has "Concealed" in the name, that it requires you to conceal even though open-carry is perfectly legal. That's like saying that you can't walk anywhere once you get a drivers license. It is getting better, though.
In PA (where I live and work) it's a LTCF. Personally when I type it out I always write CCW but when I say it out loud I always say "conceal carry permit." Too many gunshots have scrambled my last remaining brain cells...
There appears to numerous accepted generic names, and each State has its own name for the permit. Looking in my wallet I see that Nevada calls it a "Concealed Weapons Permit", Oregon calls it a "Concealed Handgun License", Nevada calls it a "Concealed Firearm Permit", and Utah also calls it a "Concealed Firearm Permit."
