Well, I saw that other thread about the Chinese Army's new weapons.
That got me to thinking.
China has a past CHOCK FULL of ripping off other people's ideas. Cars, computers, musical instruments, toys (though the American designs didn't call for lead in the paint), and clothing... all produced without license to the American or other countries' companies that have developed the tech themselves. The firearms industry is no exception. Anyone who is on this board enough knows that China has copied weapons including the AR-15, M14, Remington 870, and the M1911, among others. Of course, no licensing fees are paid to any of the companies that developed the weapons and had to spend money on R&D and tooling to bring them to production.
While watching the video posted on the other thread, I noticed that some of the weapons that China had made seemed to be under evaluation by Western militaries. That got me to thinking... if the weapons, or at least their blueprints, are in Western nations... why not make some money off of them?
Here's the plan. We start up a company that makes semi- auto versions of their army weapons. Call it our own design, and chamber it in common Western calibers.
We then make an account for paying licensing fees. We then cease to buy toilet paper for the factory and office, and use the "licensing fee" money for TP.
Some might call it evil. Some might call it vindictive. Some others may even dare venture into deeper vocabulary and call it petty.
Do I care what they think?
Nah.
