NAA Guardian. Heavy, recoil absorbing and you can shoot it until the cows come home. I guarantee you that it will outlast a LCP or P3AT.

Yes but will your hand and pocket. I had one and it felt like I was carrying a brick in my pocket, it tore my trigger finger up and was not a very reliable feeder.

It was an enormous relief when I replaced it with a P32 and eventually a P3AT when they came out.

I think right now im going to be going for a keltec. Havent decided on the P32, P3AT, of PF9. Ill have to see at my local gun show this weekend if the pf9 is small enough for my pockets.

... it felt like I was carrying a brick in my pocket,

For 15 years I have marveled at guys around me that pack all steel handguns, and are disgusted with my Kel-tecs.

They are even grossed out by Glocks.

I will not even carry a Glock, it is too uncomfortable.

So it is a trade off between aesthetics of materials and aesthetics of feeling weight and thickness.

I weigh everything; pistol, knife, camera, cell phone, flashlight, magnifier, car keys, money clip, shoes, etc.

I have the Guardian on my short list and I want one really bad, but I will say this about Kel Tec, if you wear out a P3AT they will send you a brand new one for free

My truck broke down , and it is in the shop. I will get a loaner car tomorrow and ship within the next voile of days. I will provide a tracking number. Again I apologize for the delayit will outlast a LCP or P3AT.

I think you got the quoting mixed up with another message...

Anyways, the NAA Guardian is a good gun. It's dimensionally smaller than the Kel-Tec and most other .380s out there, but it is very heavy for a pocket gun. At 20oz loaded, it is twice as heavy as a LCP or P3AT. I typically back pocket carry mine in a Desantis, but even then - it drags if I'm not wearing a good belt.

Strange about the quote. It mixed in with a PM I sent. I probably need to quit posting on my iPhone :).

The Guardian is the gun I have "almost bought" more than any other. I have set out to get one quite a few times only to get something else. Oneday soon I hope to have one

For $300 you can't go wrong with the Bersa CC. Shaved sights & hammer. Has a little more "Meat" to it but the recoil is nice. My wife & I both have one & very happy with it.

LCP/S&W BG/KT P3AT - All good

I have a S&W BG (integ laser), My wife has a Keltec P3AT (added CT laser), My daughter has the Ruger LCP with CT laser. I can tell you from personal experience that all 3 are flawless in operation, comfortably carry in pocket (front jeans or jacket) and leave no print visible with normal fit clothing.

We shoot 50-100 rds through them each range trip without problem. I prefer the BG because it has a slide lock and manual safety.

I'd certainly prefer my .45ACP 1911 for defense and of course shooting but to be honest I rarely carried it. We all carry these little pocket pistols even in warm weather which is something we rarely if ever did with other compact weapons Including g26. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend any of them.

After having said the above none of them meet the $300 reqm't new.

I hope this helps
Bob

The Sig.238 is a fine .380&shoots just fine. But the Kel -Tec P32. &P3AT are fine shooting autos also. But at the end of a long day you will be happier with the lighter wight of the Kel-Tecs. JMO.

Bersa CC as thunder not really pocket gun.

I carry a KelTec 380 Have for last several years never had first problem Recoil isn't that bad I carry and shoot Corbon DPX in it since DPX came out.

Not of these pistol made for 2or 300 rounds at range every week . They are a carry SD pistol . Shoot box of 50 once a month and you will be fine .

You don't have to shoot your carry gun at the range. Any 22 of the same size will emulate your carry weapon just fine.
