my dad came home from a trip up north to visit family with his dads old win model 97 shotgun.it was rough, in bad shape. he told me to look at it and see if i could get it shootable.

i took it to a gunsmith, i got some new stocks from boyds. the smith tore it down, fixed a thing or two. reblued the metal in kind of antique look. when i got it back, it looked like a 100 yr old gun that had been taken well care of.

i gave it to my dad at thanksgiving dinner. i thought he was going to cry. this from the toughest cowboy ive ever known. he told storys for hours about how him and his dad would pheasant hunt every winter and go on hunting trips out to the dakotas. he said the pheasnats would fly up and black the sun out.

op, im glad yu gave your gpa a good feeling with that rifle. yu dont get many instances like that in your life!
