Here is J frame Smith I got about two months ago.

It's chambered in 32 H&R Magnum and holds six rounds unlike the 38 caliber 5 shot J frames.

It's an "Airweight", has an Aluminum frame and weighs 13.3 oz.

Does anyone here use or carry a 32 caliber revolver?

What ammo do you recommend?

Looks just like mine except my grip has a slightly different pattern. I carry hand loaded Hornady 85gr max loads with Hogdon Li'l Gun powder. Weighs 15oz loaded.

Nice one. I am very surprised that 32 H&R isn't more popular. It has always seemed to me perfect for the recoil-shy, such as my wife and daughter. I would certainly not feel unarmed with one. The sixth shot is a great bonus. :)

I've got a Ruger LCR in .327 mag. I carry .32 h&r loads in it though. Even at 17 oz., .327 from this gun is not so much fun.

I carry Hornady 80gr FTX Critical Defence in mine. They are not super accurate, but have a reputation for opening up in all conditions.

Some folks like the Buffalo Bore 100gr better than the Critical Defense. I don't think we really have enough data. I like my 432 as a pocket gun. It's quite accurate at closer distances. It is not without recoil though. For the recoil sensitive, there are lighter rounds in 32 SW range.

I love 32 cal but don't yet have a 32 mag or 327. I am tooled up.to load all 5 flavors of straightwalled 32, but I'm currently only shooting 32 long guns. Through those I am shooting 32 long, 32 short, and 32acp loaded to 32 short specs. A big 32 is for sure on my list, and more than once I have tried to work out a deal on one.

The guns pictured above are great examples for what I am looking for. If I can find a 3" in either flavor then I am in.

Oh ma gosh!! That's is one AWESOME(!!!) revolver! What a peach for CCW! I sure wish 'ol S&W would bring back the "lil jays" in a .32 H&R or .327 Fed Mag. Such cool gun, very like!!

I use Hornady Critical Defense in my 32 H&R (Charter Arms Undercoverette). Most internet stores that sell ammo should carry it.

.32's, ah yupper. Shoot a few, including a dupe of yours there OP. Pardon the KelTek but it finds itself in my pocket very frequently, all the rest rotate.

Sadly S&W has left the .32 market for good apparently. I got a 632 before they left, when they were discounting them to get them off the inventory.

.32's are interesting, I have the J frame above and a 2" Taurus in .327, which is simply the best Tauri small revolver I've ever seen, very nice workmanship. I also have various .32S&W long, .32H&R and .32ACP pieces.

.327 is a bit much for me, so I load down to about .32 H&R +P levels - around 1200fps out of a 3" barrel with a 85gr XTP.

My carry gun is in .32 H&R . It is a rather scarce version of the Taurus Model 731 as it is a Total Titanium gun. Not many made.
It shoots very well and has no problem shooting the .32 acp as well.

I carry with Federal Self Defense ammo which is 85 grain semi jacked hollow point.

The .32 would probably be more popular if different for H&R. The .327 Federal Magnum us what the .32 H&R Magnum should have been. Because of the weak H&R revolvers it was downloaded. Even now they the 32 is what it should be the lack if ammo availability doomed it again. For some reason the 32 Caliber has never been very popular in the USA but it should be.

Just keep the ammonia based cleaners away from that sweet titanium, if you didn't know. Induces hydrogen embrittlement.

Nice gun for the ladies but it's a sub-par on the self-defense scale. Maybe they can beef it up with more "energetic" ammo?

I'd like to see Smith & Wesson chamber a concealed hammer J-frame revolver in .327 Federal Magnum, having six shots of course. Something to compete with Ruger's six-shot, concealed hammer LCR revolver chambered in .327 Federal Magnum.

I could swear S&W sold one as you described, ported I believe. I tried one, it spit propellant from the ports back at the shooter. I got rid of that one. I may be wrong, may have been a K-frame, not 100% certain.

Maybe add some nuclear waste and boost the muzzle energy to something close to the 50 mg out of a 12 oz gun so a man could shoot it.

Mine isn't ported, but I think I've heard of that one -- but I think it was a bigger (k frame?) steel gun.

S&W does occasionally still do small runs of .32s. I picked up a recent new production 432PD last year. I paid for it as soon as I heard and waited for S&W to ship it out. The advantage of the 432PD over the LCR is it's smaller. The .327 LCR is too big for my pockets.

I use GA Arms .32 H&R magnum loads. They're almost as hot as the Buffalo Bore, but cheaper. Watermelons act the same with those hot .32H&R as with standard 9mm.

The light snub in .32 H&R with the hotter loads is as much recoil as I want in a pocket gun. I have a couple .327 mag revolvers in SP101 and GP100. The SP101 is as light as I'd want with full house .327 loads. That .327 is just too much to handle comfortably in a lighter gun, just like .357 is too much to handle in a J-frame or LCR.

The .327 also has screaming muzzle blast in even a 4" barrel. I leave it to others to describe what it must be like in a shorter barrel. I think they made the LCR in .327 just because people wanted it. I would be surprised to see that the majority were used for anything other than .32H&R.
