Blain, elitist? Have you read the breakdown of the differences of Republican versus Democrat campaign contributions? IIRC the usual Republican contribution is less than $200 while the Democrats rely on a few big (elite) multimillion dollar contirbutors. Pardon me while I retch.

I read a book called "Nazis, Communists, Klansmen and other on the fringe" about, well, fringe groups. One appendix contained a list of quotes, both real and questionable. That was one of them it said was apochrophal.
On an unrelated subject, the book actually painted the US militia movement in a fairly positive light, surprisingly enough. It really ripped into "civil liberties" groups like SPLC that want to unleash the dogs of war against non-violent militias. Recommended reading for everyone here on this board.

I'm not ashamed to say I teard up too as I read the story,whether that particular story is true or not, I feel sure it has happened some where else in America just as this story was told and probably more than once. I am proud of all of our troops and very grateful for their sacrifices,indeed two thumbs up..

So much so that I've copied it into a Word document, and will post a print of it on our cockpit door during those reconnaissance sorties my fellow aircrew and I do for 12+ hours at a time. I think they should know that what we're doing out there is pointless, and for the "elite". Maybe he can be a celebrity at Numbered Air Force or Wing level, too. When asked who spouted it, I'll be more than glad to give them the URL, and show them the thread where I was called a Communist...

Okay, and what do you propose? ANOTHER recount? please.... and i suppose that carrier flight was just a huge publicity stunt as well. you're right, get another splineless president that just conciedes everything the terroists want and get the troops outa harms way. bribery would work for sure, it did for the 8 years prior to bush...
