The recent news from Israel

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Two gunmen infiltrated a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem and opened fire in a library Thursday night, killing at least seven people, police and rescue workers said.
...
Yitzhak Dadon, a student, said he was armed with a rifle and waited on the roof of a nearby building.

"He came out of the library spraying automatic fire. ... The terrorist came to the entrance and I shot him twice in the head," he said

Its a shame that in the US for the most part the best possible outcome we can hope for is for a teacher to sacrfice his life and hopefully slow the shooter down long enough for the students to escape.

I am not suprised the Commie News Network left that out of the story at all... Selective reporting at it's finest. Someone should call them on this!

To whom it may concern, (Editor perhaps)

Why was the report of an armed student helping to stop the mayhem left out of your report?

This part of what I read from another news agency:

"He came out of the library spraying automatic fire. ... The terrorist came to the entrance and I shot him twice in the head," he said.

Is CNN concerned about stories of armed students thwarting attacks on the agenda?

I am just curious and await a reply ..

Yitzhak Dadon, a student, said he was armed with a rifle and was able to shoot one of the attackers from the roof of a nearby building. "He came out of the library spraying automatic fire. ... The terrorist came to the entrance and I shot him twice in the head," he said.

Police said one of their officers also shot the man.

"There was a lot of gunfire and hysteria," a woman who lives across the street from the school told Israel Radio.

"I saw police and ordinary civilians, who were armed, trading gunfire with the gunmen," another witness said. "The gunbattle went on for about 10 minutes."

What??? No reports of police confusing armed citizens with bad guys?!?!?!?! How were thay able to determine who were the good guys and who were the bad guys?!?!?!

Shocking!!!!

[/sarcasm]

WOW!!! not only did CNN omit that critical piece of the story, they also have a different tally of those wounded and killed. interesting.

Here's my letter to them

In the story about the palestinian who attacked the seminary in Jerusalem, why was the part about Mr. Dadon left out? I am very curious, because he, a student, certainly stopped the attack before it went any further. Why is it in every other news story except on CNN? I am curious because it seems to have been left out for a reason, but I can't quite figure out what that reason is. Unless it is an unwillingness to publish an article recognizing that an armed student helped resolve a terrible situation as early as possible. I don't know, but please respond because it is an important issue, and relevant to our current national debate about removing penalties for legal concealed carriers on school grounds.

Thanks,

The part-time yeshiva student who killed the terrorist, 40-year-old Yitzchak Dadon, said that he shot the attacker in the head with his personal weapon. David Shapira, a yeshiva graduate and officer in the paratroopers, heard the shots from his nearby home, ran to the yeshiva and "finished [the terrorist] off."

Asked by a Channel 2 TV reporter what weapon the Palestinian Authority terrorist had, Dadon said, "A Kalachnikov," and turning to the camera, he angrily added, "The Kalachnikov that you gave him, President Peres..."

(actually Clinton required Israel to give weapons to the palestinians so they could "police themselves")

Now this Shapira guy... this bears repeating.

"heard the shots from his nearby home, ran to the yeshiva and "finished [the terrorist] off."

There's the kind of people who will run towards the gunfire. My hat's off to you, Sir.

I find the Hamas spokesperson's acknowledgement that attacking innocents/non-soldiers is a normal response against Israeli operations in Gaza to be the worst part of that story.

The MSM can't report it because a report of someone shooting ACTUAL "automatic fire" (full auto) would contradict THEIR version of "automatic" (semi auto).

Email sent to CNN.
(would copy it in here but forgot to copy it before I sent it through their website)

I don't think there would be much job left to finish after two hits to the head from a rifle...

Typical reporting.

Too bad they forgot to place a Security detail over the 80 students in the dining hall, this would have ended differently. Unfortunately the Israeli's became complacent in the three years of relative quiet in Jerusalem. The lesson is to never stop being aware, never drop your caution. Kids are dead because someone broke the laws of vigilance.

I'm sure the IDF paratrooper's idea of "finished him off" was simply saying "yep, this one's dead" while our media interprets "finished him off" as "the military killed the terrorist."

All of the MSM groups are reporting an IDF paratrooper killed the terrorist, not the student.

The guy who killed one Terr formerly served in the paras when he did his three years of conscript duty (Israel still has a draft). The guy is 40 and no longer a para, although they say, "Once a Para, always a Para."

Pictures of the massacre. http://rotter.net/forum/scoops1/11826.shtml

Part of the 911 call from a frightened student hiding from the terrorist.

First guy interviewed shot the first Terr two shots in the head, News reports that the second Terr was killed by an Army Officer. Here's the link to Israels channel two. http://www.keshet-tv.com/VideoPage.aspx?MediaID=33960&CatID=334

Some reports are saying only one terrorist, maybe both guys shot the same guy.

The Israeli government has tried to close down this forum numerous times. It is the most informative real-time blog in Israel and is rumored that Israels enemies (Iran, Syria) keep tabs on it too. This is where the real news and opinions are.

Typical MO of the MSM ... in the New Life shooting here in Colorado Springs, most of the media reports referred to Ms. Assam as either an "off duty police officer" or a "security professional" ... when in fact she is nothing more than a citizen with a CCW that happens to volunteer to carry at her church.

Several years ago a PLO terrorist shot up a bus in Israel, a taxi driver jumped out of his cab and shot the guy stopping him. Several Isreali army soldiers showed up on the scene and finished the guy off ... 95% of the media coverage said it was the soldiers that stopped the terrorist.

The MSM just can NOT acknowledge that the average person is capable of taking care of themselves ... be it self defense, buying our own health insurance or choosing what to eat for lunch.
