You don't stop the hammer from falling. You stop the hammer from drawing back in the first place (by placing your thumb over it) or visually verifying that it isn't moving while you slowly holster it. Ask the NFL star that just shot himself why he didn't make better use of his trigger guard (even though it wasn't a glock from what I read). I agree with your last statement, but if a drawstring, button, etc makes its way in your trigger guard it won't matter how slowly or carefully you holster your Glock. I say that because it has happened to people before.Regarding appendix carry:
1) How in the world do you come up with the notion that you can somehow STOP a hammer from falling if the trigger is snagged?
2) What are trigger guards for?
3) ALWAYS holster slowly and carefully. Nobody ever won a fight with a speed reholster.
