Thanks for posting, gonna save that link for future reference.

I like to look at old advertisements like that. From the mid-1970's I recognized some of the catalog covers. You can click on the images and get a bigger view of the images. Some of the price lists and press releases were interesting to read.

I scored a handful of old Guns & Ammo magazines pre-1968. Two most fascinating things, to me, were the articles about the rumored gun control act looming (GCA '68) and the advertisements. for guns by mail and the pricing of things.

Thanks FlSwampRat.

Something struck me as a scanned through that site. There’s a good chance we might lose Remington. Wouldn’t that be a shame? I hope the Navajo Nation does buy it and put it back on its feet again.

Very vintage stuff there! My Dad saved these sales brochures from when he was a kid. He had dreamed back then of getting a .22 target rifle but dreams were all they were as money was very tight during those years.

A link to downloadable PDF copies of Guns Magazine from 1955 to 1969.

https://gunsmagazine.com/classic-issues/classic-guns-magazine-editions/

Ads for full-auto machine guns, anti-tank rifles, and any surplus you want, delivered to your door.

Articles about fast-draw competition, with which the U.S. gun crowd seemed to be preoccupied.
Articles about the testing of a new Army rifle, to become the M16.
Articles about the new-fangled telescopic sights that were terribly expensive.
