A trip to Iron Sights in Oceanside, CA

Howdy, folks. I'm far from a recreational shooter. I love guns but I'm usually broke so I don't go too often, but I would like to meet some THR personnel in the area. Drop me a PM and we can discuss a date and time. On the 27th of May, my brother-in-law is coming to town from the DC Metro area and isn't leaving until the 10th of June and has never fired a real gun so I would like to teach him, and he'd like to learn. I'm a so-so teacher. I know the fundementals of marksmanship from the Marine Corps, but I am a terrible instructor for new shooters.

When I lived in Rancho Bernardo/Poway, Iron Sights was my favorite place to shoot. Great selection of rental pistols, friendly staff, good range, you can shoot pistol rifle and shotgun, and they are pretty easy going about rapid fire. I introduced 6 new shooters to firearms at IS.

Sadly, in spite of thinking I was moving to firearms paradise, I have yet to find an indoor range up here that compares to IS.
