Excellent. That seems eligible to join the club of "ultimate" guns -- guns that can admit of no improvement.

If anyone knows the answer, would a Dan Wesson Model 14 be worthy of extensive work the way a Manurhin would? Obviously, you wouldn't put big money into a Rohm revolver, for example. Do you think Dan Wessons are worth it?

As promised, here are some before, in progress pics, and final pics Dave took.

Here are some pics of the original gun as it came from GB:

Having had the opportunity to shoot with the gentlemen that where issued those , I can say you have a great 357, really like the rear sight top strap replacement, but that front sight sure is high, whats it sighted in for, load wise

Cundiff,

I think I need a little information. When will everyone be
out of your house? Will you be leaving the M73 at home?
And what is your address? Do you have a safe and what is
the combination if you leave it there? Where else might
it be? Thanx, Ed

So two things on this.. When Dave originally sent me pics of the front sight, I thought the front sight looked like a damn sail and was not happy with it. In person, it’s fine and not nearly as large. It actually flows with the gun and is perfectly fine.

To add to that, if you look at the front of my gun, it’s flat, with no step up... the MR73’s original sight “step up” and then have the front sight sitting on the build up (see pic) vs just the flat barrel to a sight. Smith does this as well...

Add to that, the rear sight not just being a channel anymore, there is not possible way to zero the gun without the front sight just being a bit big (again, in person it’s not as exaggerated).

The gun was zeroed at my request to shoot point of aim at 30 feet using 14gr of 2400 under a158gr bullet (357 load). It also shoots 7.2 grs of HS6 under 125gr XTP (38 special load), just fine as well.

I typically always want my guns zeroed and tested at 25 yards. However, this is a 3” barrel, I opted for the above...

Stunning! I thought you said remove all 'roll marks' which I believe, correct me if wrong, is all the written work manufacturers put on their guns. I notice Made in France is still there, and I think that is neat and a testament to this French manufacturer. And the grips, to me a real naif on grips and such, sets off the superb color! Thanks for sharing.

Paul, you are correct... Made in France was left. I thought it was a cool testament to the revo!

I am going to post my 4" Target version of this gun sometime in the near future.... Its a special one for sure:). Stay tuned for that post!
