Hey folks, just picked up the last of my grandfather's collection that my dad inherited when gramps died. Some of you may remember the FN Model 1910 I posted about a couple weeks ago. Well, the entire collection is now in my hands.

Starting from the top down
1.Springfield Model 1899 in 30-40 Krag. Not the original stock. Replaced long before I was born. Still works flawlessly. Smoothest bolt ever.
2. 7.7mm last ditch Arisaka rifle and yes, the mum is intact :D Notice that awesome nailed-on wood butt plate.
3.A pair of pistols. One is a Ruger Standard (mk1) and the other is a Colt DA-38 in .38 Colt. I do have the original bakelite Colt grips
4. A machine made sword issued to Japanese officers in WWII.
5. 6.5mm Arisaka carbine (type 44?). The bayonet mount was ground off though. :fire:
6. A Yugo Mauser M98 (captured German action rifle rearsenaled by the Yugos)obviously not the original stock.
7. Not a war bring-back but a Marlin Model 39 that was old when my dad learned to shoot with it. Yes fokls a Model 39, not 39A.

Call me odd, but I say the Marlin 39 is the coolest of that bunch. I can imagine it might get a lot of use in the coming years.

Now whenever the Marlin 39(A) comes up in threads, and folks say "buy it, and you'll pass it down to your grandkids someday", you can just post your pic as a reply!
