Everyone speaks highly of Ted Yost and I have the utmost confidence in his craftsmanship. I just that I can't stand not having my .45 around. This is worse than waiting for Christmas!

I know it's gonna be pretty. I know it's gonna be fine. I know I only have about a month to go. It's just that a month is soooooo long.

How do you guys deal with the custom gun delay? Should I run out and buy another Colt? Should I buy just any old gun that catches my eye? I really could use a Smith 66 or 686, I think. Maybe an Remmy 870 or Mossy 590?

Will a new knife tide me over?

Here's wishing godspeed to Mr. Yost. I'm dyin' here!

Thanks for listening.

If you do not have a Remington 870 yet, get one ASAP. The only things made by Man that will last longer are the Pyramids and Stonehenge.

And a good pump's so versatile, from the instant gratification of blasting those evil little clay pigeons into smoke to the comforting feel when things go bump in the night.

You NEED some (SEVERAL!) back-up guns just for such EMERGENCIES!
I agree with you too, Critter. If one of my guns "goes down" or is shipped off, I have a couple of backups. When my Beretta was at "Berettaland" for sight work I could use my PT-111, a 4" revolver (.38 spec.) or in a pinch, my P32. - No major worries.

In fact, if I feel I have an "increased threat level" I carry 2 guns using a shoulder rig with spare mags on my belt.
