I put this together last night to go out and pick up a few boxes of slugs today. And I thought someone else might be able to use the info. It's just the basics for the most commonly available (and relatively inexpensive) ammo in my area. I've tested most of these for accuracy in my 870s and they all shot very well, especially the TruBall. But hadn't looked at the numbers on them and I'm surprised at the TruBall energy retention.
I've been using Winchester Super-X 3" HP slugs for hunting, but will pick up some more of the 2 3/4" Fed Power Shok 1 oz. slugs today. Pretty impressive numbers for a 2 3/4" shell, and my shoulder will thank me for getting off of the 3" Winchesters.
Had to fix the formatting as the webpage won't load my original table properly. It's abbreviated info containing only the muzzle velocity, velocity at 50 yards, and energy at 50 yards.
