Interesting, if not conclusive.

Well, if it makes any difference, the full size Glock .40 is called the model 22. The middle, "Commander size," is the 23, and I think the compact is the 27.
I believe this is the best comparison available, the two pistols being from the same maker and practically the same size. I started to write that I have no such setup avilable, but I do have Browning High Powers in both 9mm and .40 S&W. The .40 is, by design, a couple of ounces heavier. My (very subjective) opinion is that the recoil of the .40 is a bit snappier. In retrospect, however, I don't believe I've ever shot them side-by-side with comparable ammo. The easy way to check this would for me to pick up some WWB in .40 and do the side-by-side again.
Bill: "However I think Blazer is downloaded somewhat. " That may be the case in .40 cal. The general opinion amongst my shooting buddies is that the 9mm 115 gr. Blazer is actually fairly warm - - Not Cor-Bon, of course, but on up there. I don't have my chronograph records handy to check. I've shot perhaps three or four cases of Blazer through various pistols, mostly Brownings and a Glock 19. The only valid observation I can make is that the .40 BHP moves steel plates much more smartly than the 9mm. My placement with the 9mm is predictably more precise at speed, but I'm still quicker with a .45 Government Model Colt. Again, the perception of recoil by different shoters is a highly individual thing.
Best,
Johnny
