I was stopping by to look for a mosquito headnet but they dont have them. I guess I have to look for it at a military surplus store.
Anyway I was tempted to look at their Howa 1500 Youth model in 7mm 08. Boy it is really nice. The thing is well made and it has leupold scope mount and rings to go and the Nikko stirling scope which isnt much but it was quite clear when i look at it towards the farthest end of the store which i estimate to be like 50 yds at most. I didint buy it just thinking for one someday.
On the other hand I see no more AR 15s on the rack. The saleperson said they sold like 40 guns in one day, that was a record breaker in their books. People are just buying them as we speak.
On the ammo shelves one got my attention were the Hornady 95 gr in .243 cal, Then theres the new Federal Fusion 100 gr in .243 . They were priced around $ 23 per box. Anyone have experienced with these two brands ? The Fusion seems to be a new comer by Federal . Anyway my Remington ADL youth is already sighted in with popular Winchester Power Point 100 gr SP in .243, 3/4 inch group at 100 yds. Im not complaining. I may try these Hornady brand some day .
