Nearly back to back, I received two pieces of bad/very disappointing news yesterday. After a month of waiting, I finally got an email back from the 1000 yard range that I was talking about and had applied to saying that they will not be accepting new members until mid to late summer 2013. I'm on a long waiting list so there's no no guarantee I would even get in then.
I also got another email from another local range that shoots out to 600 yards where they too are not be taking applicants for another two months and have a waiting list which I am now on. This means that I am stuck with my current range and who's rifle area is under construction, progressing slowly, and is not expect to be finished anytime soon.
Sigh...... for the next several months I will only be able to shoot out to 55 yards. Driving out of town is simply not an option for me at the moment so I'm stuck. I guess it will give me time to very thoroughly study and research and learn as much as I can before I even fire one round. It sucks but I'll make something positive out of it.
I've only had time to get done:
30 fire-formed & deprimed only
15 resized, trimmed, and deprimed
10 neck sized & deprimed only
I'll do what I can to learn as much as I can from these remaining components. At some point I'm simply going to run out and that's when the Shining creeps in
Anyway, I'm going to try to come up with a log book of some sort and then call it a night/morning. I appreciate everybody's input. Seriously, I learned a lot from you guys already....so thank you.
