I am a member of perfectunion's forum group as well as several others. I have been looking for anything that would improve the accuracy of the Mini. I own several and the accuracy has been terrible. Recently, one of the vendors over at Perfect Union has begun marketing a barrel stabilizer that promises to make the Mini shoot a hell of a lot better than it currently does. I purchased several of these this last week and if anyone here is interested I would be happy to post before and after results as to what if any kind of improvement I see on a 180 and a 181 series mini. I can not explain exactly what this thing is supposed to do because I am not to up on harmonics but the price was right and again if you have an interest in knowing the results let me know. If you want to know more about what this thing is then go to Perfect Union or I think the web site is accustrut.com.

i think there would be alot of ppl interested in your results. i personally have never really seen the point of accurizing the mini (it works pretty well the way it was designed, and nobody ever claimed that it would keep up w/ the ar in accuracy), but im sure there are ppl who would want to know how this product works. sides, i always like to hear about new stuff, even if it gets me in trouble becasue i then want one.

I wanted to accurize mine, but the replacement barrel would cost more than I paid for the rifle. I'm interested in what you have to say.

Range results on Mini 14 with Accustrut

So, here's the deal. I have a 181 and a 184 mini. Both of them shot 4 to 4.5 inch groups at a hundred. Not acceptable in my book. I really like the mini, rugged, easy to handle, low maintanence. But shoots like a shotgun. Never know where the bullet is going on the next round. Over the weekend I received two accustruts and mounted them. The company stated that the accustrut would reduce group size by half. Indeed it did. From 4 inches to 2.4 and that included a flyer. One of the groups with military surplus was 1.15 inches at a hundred. Although I was not able to repeat this success I was able to place 14 out of twenty rounds in 2.4" I had 6 flyers and the flyers also made a group of about 2.5" but 5 inches at 11 o'clock from the main group. Wonder if anyone here has ever seen a flyer group on a mini? Anyway, the cost of the strut was 75.00 and to me it was worth 75 dollars to get a 2.5moa mini. There is a big discussion going on over at Perfectunion.com on the product.

my stock 188 series Mini has always given me 100 yard groups of around two inches. I can't see spending the $120 for the AccuStrut at this time.
I have an EOTech mounted, and don't anticipate shooting at long range anyway.
