I have used .243" Nosler 55 grain Ballistic tips over 52.5 grains of H414/CCI 250 primer for a chronographed speed right at 4000 fps, and .280" 3 shot 100 yards group. This less than max load came from Nosler, and in my rifle is safe w/o signs of undue pressure. Very flat shooting, and it literally vaporizes crows on contact.
My rifle is a custom Mauser using a very heavy 1-in-10" Shaw barrel, where I usually use 75 grain and heavier bullets that get even better accuracy, and was surprised they shot as well as they did.
Good luck.
