I saw an ad for this company in the latest edition of the American Rifleman. The company is accurate Innovations and they make rifle stocks with a metal plate that they guarantee to be totally accurate.

Do any of you use this? I was thinking of replacing the stock, or glass bedding/free floating the barrel on my Rem 700 BDL.

Anyway, here is their web site. Let me know what you think.

Sounds like it's basically a skeleton stock with wood covering. Theory's OK, I guess...but how much heat can transfer from the barrel to the stock?

Jmurman,
If you check www.shortmags.org and do a search for AI stocks, you will find lots of recommendations for them. Short mags have fairly stiff recoil and if the stocks hold up to a constant pounding of them, they must be very good stocks.

I`ve heard a lot of happy people talk of them on 24hourcampfire and accuratereloading. I haven`t seen one personally but they have good press.

They are beautiful, well-made gunstocks with a bedding block in them. If one is in the market for a nice wood stock that will hold zero, this is it. Really nice guys there as well.

I should fire them off an email and see if they have plans for a Garand stock in the future.

From what I have seen, if he has plans for one, it would be the distant future. He's still trying to work on adding more bolt action stocks. I would be interested to see what he says...but I wouldn't count on one.

I received and email from him.

They are planning on a M1A in about a year...the Garand will be after that.
