in the description of the stock on their website, it says the length of the stock is measured from the end of the receiver block to the end of the stock, including buttpad. are they referring to the metal block on the stock that attaches to the back of the receiver, or actually to the gun receiver itself? if it is the metal block on the stock, is it the front or back of that block that they measure from?

why is all of this important to me? i do not intend to do a conversion on my saiga .223. however, the length of the factory saiga stock as it relates to where you must grip the hand guard is atrocious. i measure the stock to be 12.5 inches from the back of the receiver. the ACE skeletonized/galil-type stock i am considering measures 8.2, 9 or 10 inches. however, if that measurement does not include the hunk of metal that attaches to the receiver, it won't help me.

anybody with hands-on experience with these stocks, your help would be greatly appreciated.
