Vepr + Ace stock question

I'm about to do my final (hahahahaha, right) modifications to my Vepr, and it includes swapping out the stock furniture. I know how to get the proper stock setup from Ace to deal with the slant-cut receiver, but I'm wondering about the pistol grip. Does anyone know if your standard AK pistol grip will fit on the Vepr stock block, or does it need to be something else?

I did not get to take it apart, but I did handle a VEPR in .223 yesterday over at the Ultimak shop in Idaho, and it had the regular AK grip on it.

The receiver is based on the RPK receiver, and they usually have a regular AK grip on them.
