I'm getting all the things out of the way that gave me some concern on my Kel-Tec and am beginning to like the size, mag capacity etc. I solved the "finger pinching", that was mostly pilot error. Adapted to the long trigger pull, (it can be done), now the loading. Does anyone else have problems with getting a full 10 rounds into it. My son's XD45 came with a loader but this P-11 didn't. The XD45 itself can be a bear getting that 13th round into it. On the Kel-Tec I use an unsharpened lead pencil and push the follower down with the non-eraser end while loading the rounds. Is there an easier way than this? The dealer subtly tried to get me to buy the P3AT but I still like the greater capacity of the P-11, not to mention the more powerful round. Thanks for suggestions.

Welcome to the Kel Tec community. ( Some would say cult.) I've been carrying and shooting a P-11 for almost 10 years now and love the gun.
Have you tried putting 10 rounds in the magazine and letting it sit for a couple of days?

Conwic and J. D, Gray - Yes I have a full load in the mag and have let it set for a few days, may check it again tonite. I ordered a De Santis Nemesis holster, should be here tomorrow or next day, hope so. They have them on ebay @ $19 delivered to the door. They are marked Glock 26 but will do the job. Pocketgun - LLoading and unloading may work too. I guess if you unloaded and used a pencil like I do now and bottomed out the follower, let it up, bottomed it out, let it up, fifteen or twenty times could serve the same purpose. I'm sure it will get better. I was surprised at the quality of the pistol.

The easiest way to load a mag, for me, is to hold it in my right hand just like it is in the gun with my right thumb above it.
Hold the new round above the one already loaded but just shy of the feed lips and push it down and back under the lips with the thumb.
Really easy and fast even on the tightest springed mags I have found. Just grab a handfull of rounds in the left hand and feed them to the right. Easier to do than describe.
Edit: Carry the P-11 daily. None better for the job IMO.

www.dillionprecision.com and do a search for the ADCO "super thumb" magazine loader. Your mag stuffing issues will be history with a set of these. About $7 depending on the fine print.
They easily let me stuff in the 14th round into a P14 magazine with Wolff extra power springs.

I've had my P11 for about six months now and I've noticed that it's been getting easier and easier to get that last round in. I'm not sure if there's any sort of break-in involved or if I'm just getting better (I am still very new to firearms).
Recoil Rob - I'm maybe loading the mag bass ackward, I hold the mag in my left hand, press down on the round with the index finger, press down on the round to be inserted with the index finger of the right hand and slide it under the lips. Will try the thumb and see how that works. No doubt the thumb is stronger than the finger.

I don't remember ever having a problem loading mags and I have three for my P11. It's a 10 year old gun, though. I do use my thumb.

Jondar, you do know that the P 11 mag is the exact same dimension as a S&W 59 mag except for length. That's what I use on mine is a 59 loader (as well as a 59 mag with KelTec sleeve as an extra mag).

Yep, a couple of years ago after I bought my P 11, I scouted all around (still during the Clintonista mag ban days) and finally found a stainless S&W Marked 59 clip that I carry as a backup with one of the KelTec sleeves on it. If you decide to pick up a S&W Hi Cap though, be sure and take the gun with you to try a fit. As silly as it seems, apparently, the KelTecs are a little closer tolerance than the Smits were. The after market 59 clips would not lock in mine properly, but the originals work great

Many KTOGers are partial to the M69 12-round magazines and use them as spares when they carry. Depending on your body size and type and your mode of carry, it's also possible to use the M69-series magazine (with extension - see below) as your primary magazine in your gun. Most people seem to find the M59-series magazine just too long for use as anything except as a spare or at the range.
Be sure to use the most recent M59- and M69-series magazines; older models, especially first generation, will not work in the P11. And while the S&W magazines seem to work without a problem in the P11/40, it can be hit-or-miss with other brand (e.g., USA, Pro Mag) aftermarket high-capacity magazines. While you might be able to save a buck or two using non-S&W high-capacity magazines, you may find that they won't work properly or 100% of the time.
Also, I now understand that Kel Tec is Making a 12 rnd mag that fits flush with the bottom of the grip.

Yes, they are now selling their formerly LEO-only flush fit 12 round mags to people in states where it is not prohibited. This makes the 69-series mags kind of irrelevant in a P-11; unless you own a 69-series Smith already, I can't see buying them. The stainless 59-series mags give 15+1 capacity and the grip extension (sleeve) makes for a nice setup at the range, or as a spare mag on a belt. Aftermarket 59-series mags, even those made by Mec-Gar, don't seem to always work in the P-11 for whatever reason.

Naw, sorry man, they closed about 6 years ago for a while, then reopened for 5-6 months, then closed again for good. Rumor had it that a couple of flyboys from Sheppard got their butts handed to them in there, and the base put it off limits, and it died. Sorry, I bet you were at Sheppard when you were here
. It wasn't a bad place, but we got our share of cedarhackers and oilfield folks as well as REAL cowboys up here, and they can get a might sensitive (especially drunk). They did have some cuties in there, and a few that got cute after 10 or 12 beers too.
ps: Bet you went over to the P2 afterwards for a chicken-fry too

Welcome to the cult of the P11. It is one of my primary carry guns. Pocket, IWB, OWB and SmartCarry work great with the gun. It also shares the same mags as my Smith 6946 so you can carry two guns and use common mags so a Win-Win.

Follow SRIGS advice definately, The "Fluff and Buff" as described on the KTOG website makes the gun so much more pleasent as well as reliable (not that they're not already). After the fluff and buff, I stumbled upon MILITEC-1 lube, (the oil), which I now swear by, so I dissasembled the piece again (along with everything else I owned) and treated it. You clean everything real well (like alcohol or degreaser), warm up the metal parts with a blow dryer, wipe them down good with Militec-1, let it set for a while, and wipe it down dry. That stuff works wonders. Even after the dry wipe, the surface is super slick and the piece functions so smooth, you won't believe it, and the dry surface doesn't attract dust and pocket lint. I had treated my carry knife (a CRKT M-16 12) with it as described, and then lost it for 10-12 months. When I found it, it was in the bottom of a cleaning kit (BIG TACKLE BOX) in which some blueing had spilled, (and that crap is corrosive). A bunch of the stuff in there was rusty, but not the knife, it was amazing.
