is this possible..i have a barrel to each..and the metal looks awful thin to drill through..

was just asking anyone's advice/experiences in putting rifle barrels on a smoothbore shotgun barrel

please!

There are several methods of doing that.

Rear sights are often drilled and tapped, whether on the barrel or receiver.
They can also be attached with an adhesive like the new Loctite Black Max:

Front sights can be attached by bonding with Back Max or epoxy, soft soldered, silver "soldered" (actually silver brazed) or by using a clamp-on front sight.

The easiest is the clamp-on.
Brownell's sell these:

The Wilson/Scattergun sight set's front sight epoxies OVER the front sight.

Most rear sights are set up to be attached by drilling and tapping.
