Adjusting a Gracey trimmer?

I borrowed a Gracey trimmer from a coworker the other day. It was setup with about zero chamfer. He said to feel free to make any adjustments and furnished me with a set of vague instructions he had printed up.

Has anyone truly figured out how to adjust a Gracey case trimmer. Just when I think I have it set, the trim length will vary. I haven't cleaned the depth adjustment collar yet.

I don't recall having this much trouble with my possum hollow trimmer. I have to remeasure the cases 3 or 4 times to insure the correct length. Not good and way too time consuming. :banghead:
