trimmers: Lee case trimmer vs Possum hollow

I currently have a lyman which I am growing frustrated in because its lacking accuracy in trim length, not to mention its about the most time consuming part of the reloading process for me. I'm thinking about the lee trimmer (attach it to my RCBS trimmate) but I dont like the fact that I cant adjust the length. But the Possum Hollow Kwick trim is adjustable but is it accurate ?

Which one would more more accurate?

I use a Possum Hollow, and it has been very accurate. Extremley fast too, if you have something to chuck it up and run it in. I really like it.

I have a new Lyman case trimmer with all the pilots still in the box & on the shelf since 2002 because I wasn't happy with the problems with repeatability and set-up (and over-trimming cases doing so). I finally standardized on the Lee trimmers because I can quickly chuck it in a hand-held drill or drill press and it's cutting to the exact same length as last time. I have further stoned some of the hardened pins to get the trim-to length to recommended minimums or to my desired length. I developed a routine before the drill press where I would hold the drill on my left leg (seated, of course , and with vents unobstructed) and chuck the shell holder. With my right hand I would place the shell in the holder & tighten, then use the trimmer followed by the in-out deburring tool and flash hole de-burrer if I was going to that level. I admit I do a lot of this to ameliorate my blood pressure & get my mind off of global warming hysteria, Obama care, inflation and the $15 trillion national debt limit. You'd be surprised how many cases you can trim when you're eating 20 penny spikes and spitting brads...

I use the same techniques as Maj Dad with the lee trimmer. It's therapeutic... obamacare, global warming, sky is falling, national debt, and inflation...keeps me sane. I do find though, that when hand tightening the shell into the shell holder, you may have problems. Hand gets tired, shell holder isn't tight enough and so on. A pair of pliers is handy if used gently.

I use the possum hollow chucked in my wood lathe. I call it my "Poor mans Gracey" I have trimmed a few 5 gal. buckets of .223 with mine.
