adjusting charges? +/-

Probably should have split up your two questions, since it seems you're getting primarily pistol loading help so far.

H335 has primarily been a 6.8spc powder for me for the last ~10yrs. I'd not used H335 in 223/5.56 in several years, but I did load work up for a customer rifle last year using it - I worked up with 50 Vmax's and BST's, 55 Vmax's, 60 Partitions, 69 SMK's, and 75 Amax's (single load), with CCI 450's and FC brass. The 55 Vmax did best out of all bullets tested on average for all charge weights, smallest 10 shot group was with a 50 BST, although all but the 60 Partition were sub-moa in his rifle. The reason I mention all of this - with the exception of the 55 Vmax which printed effectively the same across the board (apparently a very forgiving combination), groups opened up for max charges with the other 5 bullets tested.

I do tend to expect 8208, Benchmark, and Varget to shoot better, usually, than H335, but it does very well, so you're not out much by using it.
