Adjusting Trigger Pull

With pictures, can someone please explain how to adjust (lighten the trigger pull) on my CZ 452 Varmint .17HMR? Please show me from when the rifle is fully assembled until the rifle is disassembled, adjusted, and reassembled. Thanks.

With a good screwdriver that precisely fits the slots in the screws (so you don't booger them or the stock up), remove the screws in the trigger guard. Set the trigger guard and the screws aside so you can't bang the stock or barrel on them. Now you can gently lift the barreled action out of the stock. (I always remove the bolt first, but I guess you don't have to.) When in doubt, take it apart the first time over the bed.

This next link has extensive detailed info on modifications. Look at the right side of the first picture. If you turn the nut at the bottom of the spring you can adjust the trigger pull a little. If you replace the spring you can get it even lower.

When you put it back together just make sure you center the barrel in the front of the stock as best you can. I've been known to use a business card or two to keep it centered until I tighten the screws and then slide them out. The screws don't have to overly tight, just snug - don't bear down so hard you crush the wood in the stock. If you don't get it tight enough the first time it's no big deal.

Or you can do what I'm going to do (when they arrive). Drop in the new Timney adjustable trigger in it (much cheaper with a C&R license). Or go the less expensive route with a Brooks system.
