ADL with X-mark trigger???

I was at a local wal-mart and they had an ADL in the back room (not displayed) that had a camo stock. I was interested so I had the guy go get it out so I could look at it. He opens the box and the first thing I noticed is that it had a remington scope mounted on it. Then I also noticed that it had the new X-mark trigger in it. I thought they stopped producing the ADL in 2004 and the X-mark trigger is new in 2007. The price he quoted me was $464. I thought more about it when I got home and thought that maybe it was a mistake and it was a 770. But a 770 does not have a camo stock or a X-mark trigger. What is this gun, is it really an ADL with an x-mark trigger?

Yes it is. Last November I bought a 700ADL Varmint at Dick's. It also had the X-Mark Pro trigger. Very sweet shooter.

Remington does not catalog the ADL, but plenty of them are being made and sold at the big box stores. They did announce they would stop making them and probably did briefly. Nothing at all wrong with the ADL, I prefer the blind magazine anyway. Remington probably found that bringing it back was the only way to compete price wise with the Savage and other budget rifles.
