Adoption needed, S&W 19-5 in WA

I ran across this one today at DJ's in Bothell, WA, includes a serial# matched box, no tools or manual. I think the gun has been shot very little, someone did clean the carbon off the cylinder face with 0000 steel wool IMO, but not badly. Grip is a tasteful Hogue with finger grooves in all the right places.

The finish has no scratches I could see, just the usual fine striations common to nickle plated anything. The lockup is excellent, timing normal, trigger typical. Bore is beautiful. No signs of forced side plate entry, no boogered side plate screws.

These two pictures don't do it justice. DJ's wants $675 for it, negotiation is always in the cards.

I would buy this in a heartbeat but, sadly, I've been reminded that any more strays may in fact be my last heartbeat. So, I hope a THR member in WA will adopt this one, it's worth a look-see.

LOL, no, but I should add I am strictly a retail customer of this, and all, gun stores. No remuneration if it sells. That said, some things in life are worth saving, this specimen is one of them. I want it very badly but I may not have it, an owner who will appreciate it is the next best thing

I had a doctor appointment in Totem Lake, DJ's is just up the road a spell, it's not like I'd just drive to a gun store that's 30 minutes away, no siree bob, not I

I love going there at lunch, but after work it sucks. NO PARKING!! I guess the businesses nearby don't like gun shoppers using their lots.

DJ's is pretty good on pricing....I found found more than one good deal there in the past

I just saw 2 of them, both nickel 19-5's at a road side stand, and the seller was asking $650 each. Neither of them looked any where as pretty, had scratches, and over all appeared to have had a lot of rounds put through them. BTW, I really love those grips!

If that were me, I would probably try to get him down $50 bucks or so, especially if it doesn't have a box or holster. But if I just had to have it, I would give in to $675, it is really nice looking for a nickel, which I'm personally not very fond of, and those grips are super nice, IMO.

I've also heard that DJ's is a fair place to shop. I guess I've got to make a trip there too. Snohomish to Bothell isn't that far...

I don't like nickel plated guns either but that one is a thing of beauty with those grips on it.
