This is the course you have been waiting for!
Make your travel plans now but do not miss this one. Near or far, it is worth it!

Location: Ant Hill Range - Southport, NC
This is one of the most beautifully manicured ranges you will find anywhere
(it's where Magpul Dynamics filmed their "Art of the Tactical Carbine" video).

Attend a single day (handgun or carbine) or attend both days (handgun & carbine) and get a significant discount on tuition.

Be prepared. You will be shooting out to 150 yards (off-hand) with the carbine and out to 100 yards with the handgun, with the expectation of lethal hits!

This course is designed to take the proficient shooter to the highest level of competence in defensive handgunning and carbine weaponcraft. Moving quickly, excellence is demanded of the student. Every student will learn to drive their weapon like never before. A balance of speed vs. accuracy along with dynamic weapon handling skills will be covered in this class that is designed to make your weapon an extension of your body.

The serious student will positively be able to manipulate and employ their weapon in any life threatening situation. The course curriculum covers advanced hasty marksmanship, combat reloads, malfunction clearances, shooting on the move, running and gunning, engagement of multiple threats, and decision making drills, all while utilizing various and unorthodox shooting positions from cover and concealment.

Upon successful completion of the training, the student will be left with a thorough understanding of the advanced principles of tactical pistol and carbine employment as well as an enhanced view of legal matters, mindset, defensive planning, escalation and de-escalation of force, the use of force continuum, and more.

This is a fast paced course that will no doubt make you a more lethal adversary to any prospective opponent.

I would sign up in a second if I lived close.

Suggestion, though: discount for bringing another person.

I often do special pricing for additional family members or even friends who contact me and sign up together. It works out for both of us. Truly, I try to work with just about anyone who wants to come but is on a budget as I teach more because I like doing so than to make a living. Obviously I can't just give courses away but I do thank you for the suggestion. I try to do what I can when I can.

What is your opinion on a converted Saiga .308 carbine for the course?

Nothing wrong with that at all. When people see a "carbine" course they tend to think "AR" and that is a fine platform but the intent is not to be platform specific. Anything along the lines of a Mini-14/30, Sig 556, AK, works just fine. I have one repeat student that has shown up to a couple of courses with a M14 and done quite well.

Both Days - Civilian Tuition - $250.00

That is dirt cheap. Seriously, $125.00 a day is peanuts. CWP classes from ignorant fools cost more than that around here.

I may have to attend as my alligator mouth may have over loaded my hummingbird rear. :D

Well I would be happy to have you.

You know, when I would guest teach for some big name schools/instructors I would always feel bad about how much they were charging (not that some weren't worth it - just seemed like a lot to me). Now that I teach mainly for fun and don't have to charge as much, I've actually had students say, "I almost didn't take your course because it didn't seem like you were charging enough to be any good." Go figure.

Anyway, I'd be glad to see you or any other high roaders at the courses.

Well, if you ever want to teach a course up in Alaska, give me a shout. I can get you an EXCELLENT deal on a hotel room.

I may not need a hotel room. It's probably going to be about 4 years but Alaska may be called home to me courtesy of Uncle Sam.

Well, the dates don't work for me, but I'm going to get a class in before you PCS to the frozen north.

I'll hold you to that. I'm doing a number of private LE/military courses in the next few months but my schedule won't allow a lot of open enrollment classes at the moment. I'll be sure to let you know of anything upcoming in the area.

Both days have officially checked in full. For those from THR that signed up, I look forward to shooting with you. For those that were unable, sorry you missed this one.
