Greetings all,

I've moved from carrying my rather expensive Wilson 1911's to carrying my Glock 32, but I want to try out an optic other than irons. Given my having astigmatism and it causing issues with red dot sights on rifles, I don't want to commit to having my factory slide milled for an RMR footprint optic. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket optic cut slide for a .357 Sig chambered Glock 32? I'm finding lots out there for 9mm Glocks, but not so much luck for 357 Sig chambered guns.

The 9mm stuff is going to be far more available than the 40sw stuff which you would use for the 357 sig guns because 357 sig stuff doesn’t exist in aftermarket form. If I were in your spot I might seriously consider buying a dagger pistol in 9mm and trying to figure out what gonna work for you before you drop any money into your Glock. When you get it figured out you can do as you please with certainty knowing you will like the result, and by selling the dagger at that point you get the money back to make any alterations you would want to make.

Aftermarket slides for the G23 and G32 are going to be harder to find. And I would definitely start far fa away from any slide from Rock Slide USA. They are total garbage and are prone to cracking and breaking since they are not even heat treated.

I highly recommend checking with Lone Wolf Distributing or Zaffiri Precision for aftermarket G23/32 slides https://zaffiriprecision.com/product-category/glock-slides/g23-slides/

If the OP isn't even sure an MRDS is really wanted, try a bolt-on dovetail rear mount mount first or only ~$20. The OP will still need to buy or borrow an MRDS but it's a lot less than cutting up a good slide without wanting to immediately commit to the optic.

Otherwise, commit/buy/borrow a factory MOS-cut Glock in another caliber to try one out.

It's unknown to me who has an aftermarket pre-cut slide in .40/.357 (Glock 32 sized). Maybe somebody else who's yet to respond knows.

Edited to add:
Here is a .40 G23gen5MOS, however:

Zaffiri Precision has optics ready G23/32 slides. See the link I posted above.

Have you considered the Leupold Deltapoint Micro? I've got one on my G19 and works better for my purposes than the RMR I had mounted on the gun previously. If the unit's battery dies or it happens to be turned off, the housing makes a useable aperture sight combined with the standard front. AFAIK the Micro will fit on any Glock that doesn't have the MOS cut.

At 70 years old I have astigmatism as well as cataracts. I have found that the Holosun/Primary Arms ACSS optics works best for me. It was recommended by another shooter and it utilizes a chevron instead of a dot. The chevron doesn't star out like a dot does for me.
I have a spare slide for my G32-4 and I also have a G31-4 slide that I use on my G22-4 pistol. I love the 357Sig.
