There is a few cool aftermarket stocks out there for ruger 10/22s. 2 companies make bullpup stocks, 1 company makes a ak47 type stock , 2 companies make ar-15 type stocks, 1 makes a mp5 type stock and now one makes a mg42 stock. The MG42 looks cool but I doubt you can put a scope on it. I used to own a muzzlelite bullpup stock for a marlin camp 9mm carbine rifle I used to own. I couldn't get the scope set right on it. You have to use grease on a slide that's inside the gun and the gun isn't as accurate at long rane since the gun sets back in the stock far. Right now my gun is at 37 inches long. I can pick up a bullpup stock for just over 95 bucks before shipping. I know some say they are like toys but they still look cool and will give my 10/22 a cool look and it will be shorter. Right now it has a ati fiberforce dragunov stock on it. The factory wood stock was heavier. It would of been more accurate with that one if I kept it on my gun. I have a 4x32 fixed scope on my rifle to besides a butler creek 25 round steel lip magazine. I will never buy another butler creek magazine again. It wouldn't feed right so I had to file part of the steel lips down. I tried a tactical solutions level action magazine release on my rifle once. It was as smooth as butter. The magazine drops out it's so smooth with that t.s. mag release on it. I just plan to shoot my rifle at a indoor range that's 50 feet max. I just hope my magazine will fit the stock. Many high cap mags don't even fit bullpup stocks by muzzlelite. I liked the specter arms mp5 stock but it's way over 200 bucks new. What kind of stocks do you people like?

Whether or not the rifle is in a bullpup stock doesn't affect its accuracy. If you change the sight radius (the distance between the front and rear sight) it affects the accuracy. One of the advantages of the idea is that the rifle keeps the full-length barrel in a shorter rifle. It KEEPS the accuracy.

The main reason I don't doodle with bullpup anything is the trigger handicap. No matter how good a trigger is, you are now changing it to some improvised op-rod extension.

If you just want it to look cool, and it's just for short-range, do whatever you want.

I was talking about how long of a distance I can shoot at accucrately. Since the gun will go from 37 inches to 26 1/2 I probably won't be good at 50 feet. I will have a scope on it though.
