Does anybody have any experience with ahlmans gun shop in minnesota? I thinkin about having my grandaddy's 94/22 refinished and reblued

I have not had refinishing done there, but I've had several guns there for repairs. They do good work and sure have been in business for a long time...

I am one of six full time gunsmiths that work at Ahlmans. So I might be biased. Each of us have a little bit of a specialty(machining, woodwork, warranties, etc.) Ken does all of the polishing. He has been doing it for over fifteen years and does a fine job. We do a bluing batch once a month of about forty guns. Turnaround right now is about 2-3 months.

I, too, am a professional gunsmith, and I send a fair number of guns to Ahlmans to get work done that is outside my specialty. I have always gotten good work at a fair price with good turnaround from Ahlmans. I heartily recommend them.
