I have a S&W 3" 65 that I'd like to put some Ahrend grips on. Where is the best place to find/buy Ahrend grips for a S&W K-frame. Thanks.

Nope, they don't have a website, but they do answer email. When I bought a couple of sets from them I called and asked for a cataloge. What they send is actually more like a flyer. There aren't any pictures, just descriptions.

When I emailed asking for pictures, they directed me to THR...which is how I actually found this wonderful font of information in the first place. :D

If you want to see some pics, just do a THR search for "Ahrends." Also, you might want to throw the key work "DHart" into your search. He's posted alot of pics with alot of variations. Just be aware that his pics will make you very jealous.

Also, just as a side note, when I ordered my grips they came in the mail in about 4 days. I consider that an amazingly quick response. Beat Hogue hands down.

Here's a pair of smooth cocobolo target stocks.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you can also order 'em through the S&W website ... Smith puts Ahrends stocks on a number of their special edition and Performance Center models ... Shameless plug here for the Ahrends Exotic Cocobolo finger-groove grips for the 686 and 66, best-lookin' best-feelin' revolver grips out there and at a reasonable price ...

Last I knew Brownells offered some of the Ahrends grips. They may have pictures if you search on the website. As to variety of woods and configurations Ahrends themselves offer more. I ordered a pair over the phone and the individual was helpful in explaining configurations available and colors, etc. of the various woods offered as they offer a number of woods other than Coco Bolo. Like the person above mentioned after ordering they arrived in about 4 days. Can't beat that! I like them better on my Smiths than the Hogues I have.
