I bought a set of Ahrends grips for my chrome Norinco from Top Gun Supply because I was looking for a nice set of ebony ones. I picked the "tactical" pattern because it looked unique and before this all I had were the traditional double diamond pattern grips. I liked the feel and quality of the Ahrends so much that I tracked down a set in Red Raspberry Dymondwood for my parked Norinco.

These are great grips...I highly recommend them to any 1911 enthusiast!

Very nice daysleeprx! Kim Ahrends and crew do a great job at making very nice looking and functional grips.

Both my Smith's wear Ahrends' as well as my 1911. I've considered buying more pistols/revolvers just so I can dress them in Ahrends' grips.

Then one day it occured to me: I have more than one pair of pants, shouldn't my pistols have more than one pair of grips?

Another big thumbs-up for Ahrends 1911 grips.....not only do they look great, they are a little thicker than the normal wood grips that I've had on my 1911's.

I picked up a tactical style grip for my S&W, and then for my Colt had the guys at Top Gun work with the people at Ahrends to recreate a stock grip appearance.

I'll post pictures of both later this evening.

Here's my S&W w/ the Tactical grips:
