I'm interested in purchasing a set of grips for my K38. Ahrends grips seem like a good candidate.

Right now, it's a toss-up among their grooved or smooth square butt grips, or their retro target stock grip. I have medium sized hands (~9cm at the knuckles) and so want to avoid grips that are too large.

Has anyone tried any of these, and if so how did you find the sizing?

If you've used their grooved square butt grips, were the grooves well positioned?

thanks

I don't know if these will help.. Both pics are of the same K-frame revolver.
I have medium size hands.

I thought I really liked the Taylor grip adapter until I tried the Ahrends grips.

They made that pistol the most naturally pointing revolver I have ever hand in my hands.

For me, they were a perfect fit for my hands. Of course your mileage may vary!!

I bought a set of smooth grips with finger grooves from Ahrends. The fit and finish is outstanding. I doubt if I will ever buy from another company since their grips are so well made and the price is right too...

I'm 6' 2" and wear XL gloves. I have Ahrends grips on a round butt K frame, and they are too small for me. The finger grooves just don't line up with my particular set of metacarpals and phalanges.

* sorry for posting on the wrong forum.

Thanks for the input & the pictures. I'm glad to read that people are impressed w/ the Ahrend's quality.

My revolver is currenly wearing a Pachmayr Decelerator, the grooves of which are about right for my hand. So I suspect that the Ahrends would be OK.

One thing that I'll have to ask Ahrends is whether the face of the grooves is currently flat or rounded. I've seen pictures of both.
