Aimpoint M2 on FAL?

I love shooting my M2 on my AR and was thinking of picking up another (probably ML3) and putting one on the DSA Stg58. I will get the DSA mount and am wondering if anyone else here has an Aimpoint/FAL and likes the set-up. The abuse sitting right over the 308 will be much worse than the 223, but that's why I'm spending for the real thing instead of a Bushnell or Burris red dot.

It should handle the abuse just fine.

Another thing to consider is a low-power magnified optic, like an ACOG.
