Airgun-smiths ?

Years ago I got this Brolin arms model B21 side cocking spring air gun from a bargain cave at cabelas. It came as is , no returns. It is a Chinese copy of an RWS model 48 - 52 .

Well got it home and it doesn't work , the sear doesn't seem to fully engage/catch and it wont cock . I've had it over 20 years and pulled it out the other day and would like it to be usable . It seems like a solid gun , but I couldn't get it to work.

I would like to get it working , and if possible have it changed to a gas piston system , and maybe change the barrel to 22 caliber. Is there anybody anyone could suggest for this kind of a job?

Mike Melic at Flying Dragon Airguns is an importer and airgun smith for Chinese airguns. He has great repair/tune reviews in online forums. I would check out his website and give him a phone call to see if he can help. Those are known to be great copies of RWS 48s well worth fixing.

I put it in the mail to Mike Melic at Flying Dragon Air Rifles on Friday . He called me on Wednesday afternoon to tell me he was done with it and I got a tracking number this (Friday) morning ! Now that is fast turn around time !

He replaced some parts in the trigger mechanism and safety that were keeping it from cocking , and replaced the seals . I haven't shot it much yet .
