i have to pick up a friend at the airport this week. my question is can i have my gun in my car in the airport parkinglot? i would take it off and stow it in the car before going inside the building.

I, likewise with Nemesis, carry concealed, legally, in airports. In Texas, at least, you may do so right up to the security line.

Packing.org is a good place to check, along with your state's website regarding carry laws. You do not list where you reside. Does your state have a CCW system in place and do you have it?

Regards,
Rabbit.

If I'm reading the law right, you can't carry in the terminal building at either Dulles or Reagan National in VA, but it's now allowed in parking garages and lots.

thanks fot the input. i live in western ny and the airport is buffalo international. yes i do have a ccp. i did a search on packing.org and couldn't find anything specfic to ny airports. thanks

SW, you have got to re-read your Bill of Rights, it is all right there in the Second Amendment. The legality of bayonet lugs, detachable magazines, temperature of the solder for permanently attaching a flash suppressor, child-proof locks, transporting a firearm with its ammo locked and secured in an unreachable container; it even has Oprah's opinion on concealed carry for added emphasis. :scrutiny:

What I was afraid of, darn it all to heck and back! Now I've got to go find the cat and talk her into licking my glasses clean. Nuts!
