How many shots should a 12g CO2 tank fire? I'm actually talkin lead pellets not plastic airsoft...

I'm shooting from the umarex.com desert eagle replica, and so far I couldn't shoot more than 30 pellets with one 12g tank...

Average?

I know this ain't exactly the place for airsoft hahaha i felt cheap to post here, but since I'm registered I gave it a shot:)

I have a Walther CP99 that shoots lead pellets powered by a CO2 cartridge. It depends on the weather and how rapidly you shoot it, but I can get over 100 shots... but that's in sizzling heat and taking individual shots where everything warms up between shots.

In a "normal" session, I'll get between 50-80 shots. Assuming you're not just pulling the trigger as fast as possible, you might want to check the o-rings of your gun for leaks.

Well if they're lead pellets then it's NOT airsoft. Airsoft is plastic BBs. Also, since airsoft guns are often modeled after real guns, Ii don't see why they can't be discussed here.

Anyways, to answer the OP, when I was younger I had a Crosman pellet revolver than ran on CO2, and for every 250-round "can" of pellets, I would use about 2 CO2 cartridges.

It's toy related. A airsoft toy is still a type of toy.

there, fixed that for you ;)

but really, it doesn't sound like an airsoft question, it sounds like an airgun question.

and 12 shots sounds about right, maybe have a leaking seal somewhere, but those little cans don't hold much air.

Airsoft, what's the point?

You get to shoot at people and actually use tactics. And the best part is you can make it just a game, or as serious as training for the real world, and it's relatively safe.

the point? theres no real point, but i just cant use my live ammo and normal guns for shooting the vermin around, my neighbors are going to call the cops on me, i just lead their asses out

An Airsoft copy of your normal carry gun is a great training aid. Cheap to shoot, can do it at home without wasting fuel.
I carry a Glock 23 and have a .22LR conversion kit for it but it still requires trips to the range.
My Airsoft is a KWA G19 version and I shoot it almost everyday trying to learn how to point shoot either in my garage or backyard. The skills I have developed with the Airsoft have carried over to my Glock 23 with both the .22LR kit and the .40 S&W.

This is a firearms forum. If you have a firearms related question feel free to post. If you have an airsoft question there are airsoft forums.

The exception is the discussion of airsoft as a firearms training tool. Those go in Strategy & Tactics.
