"Hungarian AMD 65 tanker type rifle with fixed open stock. These rifles contain enough US parts to legally use hi-capacity magazines. Features metal hand guard with pistol grips, fixed open side folding stock, and flat black finish. Built with US made stamped reciever, barrel extension, magazine follower, hammer, trigger, and disconnector. Each rifle has a cleaning kit, oiler, cleaning rod, and 20 round steel magazine. These rifles are part of a limited run and will not last long. Made by RedJacket Firearms!!! Save $10 on each rifle for 3+ units."

i'm not sure who redjacket firearms is but being that they're from joeken i'm pretty sure they're poorly built/welded kits made by hesse, as such i would stay away from them for that reason alone. the fact that they're from joeken is another bad sign, you'll end up paying for the rifle and not seeing it for a long time, if ever.

After reading quite a few horror stories on AK-47.net, I personally would steer clear of Joeken. If you really want an AMD, pick up one of the kits out there and have a reputable smith like AK-USA or Ted Marshall build it up for you. May cost a bit more, but it will be done correctly.

I have an AMD-65 built by Gordon Technologies and I love it. It has a great trigger, for an AK, with no slap. The finish has proven durable so far, and it is quite accurate for the type. It has a little POI wander as it heats up, but not bad. Above all, it is AK reliable and fun as heck.

Come September 14, I will look around to have the wire stock changed back to a folder. It will probably involve taking the receiver rivets out and then reparkerizing to match the finish.

Where did this Gordon Technoligies 65 come from?
You know,as hard as i tried i could find no phone number at the Joken site so i could call them and get the scoop.Thats annoying!
