Alex Tactical, a Dangerous Gun "Authority" ?

The frightening thing and what should be carefully managed is their ability to learn from each other and from being able to control and communicate with too many things. We have no words for procreation among artificial beings, but the passing on of one's code and the ability to manufacture new hardware is a terrifying prospect if left to do do.

How about ''replication*''?

*Derived from the term ''replicant'', a fictional bioengineered humanoid featured in the 1982 film Blade Runner authored by Philip K. Dick which is physically indistinguishable from an adult human that possesses superhuman strength and intelligence.

Yes, indeed, a perfect reference. And in response, I ask, "how do you know?" :)

Law professor Eugene Volokh has documented recent law briefs that cite references to law articles that look authentic but when the courts checked out the references they did not exist. Author, title, publication, look just like a citation to a real article but that's all: they look authentic but no article was ever published.

It's AI; the articles indicate no awareness of the physical characteristics of the objects at topic.

Yes in most basic form, AI is just word association game. Game developers have taken AI algorithms and customized to it tendencies and preferences in it's programming to make what could appear to be a real person.

Developers themselves debate whether this should even be called "AI" because that implies it's has self awareness, but it's just highly specialized program that looks for associations based off of the world wide web.

Ai generated images are just remolded pictures based on similarly described images available on the WWW. As a artist myself, it's disheartening seeing how popular this is becoming. It still requires alot more human interface than the news tries to imply, but it still takes from already produced works that belongs to someone else.

This is exactly why I do not trust AI, “self driving” cars and the like. Relying on the work of some coder sitting at a keyboard somewhere punching in actions with zero first hand knowledge of the information to be gleaned, or the changing roadway conditions in front of the vehicle, I fear is always going to become a problem at some point.

Stay safe.

Is AI usually creating the unbelievably naiive questions on Reddit regarding gun topics which seem to be those of an eight year-old child?:scrutiny:

Whatever the source, it’s really hard to believe that somebody from Planet Earth would create such ignorant questions as I’ve seen.

Even if AI isn’t behind any of the Reddit “questions”, what person would ask “Is the FAL (or, ie AK-47) a good rifle?”

No context is given. Might as well ask “Are aliens from the Andromeda Galaxy friendly?” Or “Are aliens well-trained to handle a left engine flame-out at V1 speed?”

It seems to me like a race to the bottom. Humans have abused the language for as long as I can remember. Artificial "intelligence" can carry out the abuse at a much higher rate, which will show up on ngram and in the urban dictionary sooner, which will blur things even more, to the point that acuity and eloquence will be lost forever. The king's English, frustrating as it is to learn well, will steadily become more frustrating by misuse and abuse. We have already reached the point at which someone with a good command of the language is regarded with suspicion.

Well, that's suspicious. ;)

🤣😂🤣😂

I had to go look. I will admit it brought more the a few smiles and laughs. I don’t think many folks will take the site seriously.
