Someone asked me this the other day and I could give a definative answer so I figured I'd pose the question here.

Are there any all metal striker-fire pistols and if not, then why not?

It seems to me all the striker-fire handguns I can think of off hand are plastic framed with metal slides. Are there any metal framed, metal slide striker-fire guns.

Personally I've always been a big fan of all metal guns like 1911's, BHP's, Beretta 92's, ect. Am Iwrong in thinking an all metal striker fire would be popular with a certain crowd?

The Browning Hi-Power was supposed to be striker fired. Then JMB died and Saive screwed it up by replacing the striker with an external hammer. Bad Belgian! Bad!

Jackal- are they? I was under the impression they are just straight DAO.

There are a lot of cheap little .22, .25, .32, and .380 autos that are all (pot)metal and striker fired. Some examples: Davis, Lorcin, Raven, Jennings, Hi-Point, etc. you get the idea.

Then of course, there are the ones mentioned above. However, the NAA Guardians are hammer fired, at least all the ones I've ever seen were.

My .32 NAA can repeat fire, without racking the slide. I think its repeat striker fire.

Some of you need to look at your NAA pistols. They all have a hammer and firing pin. None are striker fired.

As mentioned the Kahr line are all striker fired and offer all metal pistols. The HK P7 may be the best one though.

Polymer frames with scrap muffler parts comprising the uppers.

And according to their web site the handguns are popular with LEAs

HAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
