All steel, aluminum frames, or polymer guns?

Man, I must be a dinosaur! I have nothing against aluminum/polymer (heck, my AK's have polymer stocks) but I have to admit my favorite pistol is my '62 all-steel EG Makarov. For some reason I trust that pistol more than any other I've owned over the past 30+ yrs (sigh...)

I perfer all steel. Than it is polymer. To me, aluminum autos are not worth buying. They kick harder than they need to. I once had a Beretta .40 and it kicked harder than my Colt Delta Elite in 10mm. It was difficult to get a quick second shot in rapid fire.

Do you shy away from certain guns simply because of the material?

No.

Steel, aluminum, polymers, etc. etc. all work for me.

It all depends on what the gun is.
